March’s Featured Non-Profit: Restoring Hope Transplant House 4

AfterBirthCover_FinalFor March, we’re partnering with a really unique and important organization. Restoring Hope Transplant House in Madison, WI., is a “home away from home” for patients who are in the Madison area for organ, bone marrow or other transplants. A transplant house is not a medical facility. It is a caring environment that offers high quality, affordable accommodations for patients and their adult family members/caregivers. In addition to physical housing, the House offers hospitality, compassion and hope to support the healing journey for the patient and family. The support is provided by a small core staff, many volunteers and through interaction between other families facing the same challenges.

For the month of March, 80% of the proceeds from the sale of our book After Birth: Unconventional Writings from the Mommylands, by Jenny Fiore will be donated to Restoring Hope. Jenny Fiore’s father was a heart transplant recipient and so this is a cause that is very near and dear to her heart. Read why Jenny picked this organization in her own words.

After Birth is available in paperback and e-book from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
